RAAN was born from our founder's frustration with the lack of services available to people living with HIV/AIDS outside of the Twin Cities metro area. She and a group of volunteers started to build a network throughout the state to support people living with HIV/AIDS. Our name is a direct correlation to the work we do. We are a Rural based organization that serves people living with AIDS creating Action through community based Networks.

Rural AIDS Action Network leads rural Minnesota in the fight to stop HIV through a broad array of client services, risk reduction, advocacy and awareness. In our 25 years of service, RAAN has served over 10,000 individuals. Our experienced staff provide services, programs, and support to clients in 80 counties outside of the Twin Cities metro area.
